Process of Issuance of Green Ration Cards

The process of obtaining a Green Ration Card in Telangana involves several steps:

1. Application Submission: Interested families must submit an application form for the Green Ration Card to the nearest Civil Supplies Department office or through the official Telangana state government portal. The form requires details such as family size, income, Aadhaar numbers, and other necessary documents.

2. Document Verification: The application will be scrutinized by the authorities, and the details provided will be cross-checked with existing databases. Necessary documents such as income proof, residence proof, Aadhaar card, and photographs will be required for the verification process.

3. Field Verification: A team from the Civil Supplies Department may visit the household for on-ground verification of the family’s socio-economic status. This could include confirming the number of dependents, income status, and other relevant details.

4. Issuance of Green Ration Card: Once the verification process is complete, and the application is approved, the Green Ration Card will be issued to the family. The cardholder can then access food grains at subsidized rates from the designated Fair Price Shops.

5. Aadhaar Linking: The Green Ration Card will also be linked with the Aadhaar number of the head of the family. This step helps in better monitoring and eliminates fraudulent applications.
